Wilderness Advocacy Week, Washington D.C.

Each year representatives from the Sierra Club, the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, the Wasatch Mountain Club, and the Wilderness Society, together with activists and wilderness supporters from across the country, descend on Capitol Hill to lobby Congress for greater protection of Utah’s public lands, and to thank our champions on the Hill for their continued leadership and dedication to advancing wilderness legislation in Washington.

This event is a chance for grassroots activists, wilderness advocates, and political movers to come together for activism and leadership training, and to put their newly-refined skills to the test. Teams of wilderness advocates storm the halls of Congress, proudly displaying their yellow “Protect Wild Utah” buttons, and meet with decision-makers to lobby for Utah wilderness.

For more information about Wilderness Week, or to inquire about upcoming dates please contact Jackie Feinberg, SUWA's National Grassroots Organizer- (202) 266-0474, or jackie@suwa.org.
