Participate in a summer of redrock action!
Wild Utah Summer of Local Action

In the coming months, there are some exciting opportunities for redrock activists to advocate for Utah wilderness!

Every summer, Congress has in-district work periods during the week of July 4th and throughout most of August – meaning that your Senators and Representatives will be in their local offices instead of in Washington, DC.  This is a great time for you to drop off information or meet with your members of Congress or their staff and ask for their support of Utah wilderness!

Also this summer, the Obama administration is holding “listening sessions” across the country to promote the new America’s Great Outdoors initiative.  Already, Utah wilderness activists have attended the first listening session in Bozeman, MT to speak on behalf of the redrock country we all love.

Join activists across the country as we advocate for the greatest possible protections for Utah’s redrock wilderness!  SUWA’s grassroots staff is prepared to assist you in organizing a meeting with your member of Congress, providing materials to drop off at your local district offices, helping connect you with other Utah wilderness activists in your area, and providing talking points to use at an America’s Great Outdoors listening session.

To participate, please fill out this form.  We look forward to working with you this summer!
